Located in Pazhou, Haizhu District, the north branch of the lab is a 9,000 square meters research zone with two major buildings and a basement lab of 5200 square meters. This branched area is designed as the main research and office space before the south branch is constructed. Once the south branch is completed, the north area will be repurposed as an exhibition center for showcasing the lab’s achievements and outcomes and serves as the base for seeking industrial opportunities and business cooperation with industry leading enterprises.

With a construction area of about 100,000 square meters, the south branch of the lab is placed in the International campus of the South China University of Technology, with a perspective intention of constructing 4 buildings for scientific research, office and accommodation purposes. The south branch is expected to be put into use by the end of 2021 and will be regarded as a center for personnel training and R&D implementation.
